What is the ZackTuned RTD+?

The ZackTuned RTD+ "remote tuning device" is a tool that allows users to remotely tune and diagnose their vehicle's engine control unit (ECU) over the internet. It includes specialized software that enables users to make changes to the ECU's firmware and provides advanced diagnostic capabilities. It is user-friendly and suitable for professionals and performance enthusiasts. The entire process doesn't involve the need for a computer. The FREE TDN "Tune Delivery Network" App for iOS and Android allows the user to fully manage the tuning and data logging via a mobile device.

How are datalogs recorded?

Datalogs are recorded using the RTD+ device plugged in through the OBD2 port.

How do I retune my vehicle?

Re-tunes are offered, and can be purchased as a separate Tuning Service.

Can I return back to the factory tune?

Yes, you can! The original calibration will always be available in your TDN account, enabling you to return to stock anytime.

UNIVERSAL TUNING CREDITS

What are credits?

ZackTuned credits are a currency used to purchase licenses for the various modules supported by our tuning service. These credits allow users to read, write, and save calibration files using the RTD+ Device, enabling the custom ZackTuned firmware to be used in the particular licensed modules in a user's vehicle.

Can you purchase credits individually?

How do i return a package?

Returns will only be accepted within 10 days of receiving the product and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained. All returned items must be brand new and in their original, unopened packaging. Special order items are not eligible for return. This company reserves the right to refuse any package that is returned without proper authorization. Returned packages will be processed within five business days, not including weekends, holidays, or the day the package is delivered.

Refund on incomplete service?

At ZackTuned, we strive to provide the highest quality service to all our customers. However, to ensure that we can offer the best possible service, we reserve the right to decline service to any vehicle with hardware issues. The customer's responsibility is to ensure that their car is adequately prepared for calibration before service. The customer agrees to these terms and conditions by choosing to utilize our services.

ROAD TUNING CHECKLIST

How do I know my vehicle is ready for tuning?

ZackTuned Road tuning checklist for remote tuning:

  • Verify that the vehicle is in good mechanical condition and that all necessary repairs have been made. This includes checking the fuel, ignition, and other engine systems to ensure they function correctly.
  • Perform multiple test drives to allow the tuner to collect baseline data on the engine's performance. On a safe and closed test road. "ZackTuned recommends following all posted road laws."
  • Install a wideband oxygen sensor and data logging equipment, if necessary. This will allow our team to monitor and adjust the air/fuel ratio of the engine.
  • Collect and analyze baseline data during a test drive, including and air/fuel ratios. This will provide a reference point for comparison after completing the tuning process.
  • Communicate with the ZackTuned team and provide them with all necessary information, including the make and model of the vehicle, engine specifications, and any modifications made.
  • Follow the tuner's instructions and make any necessary adjustments to the vehicle's fuel and ignition systems. This may include adjusting the fuel pressure and installing new spark plugs or injectors.
  • Perform multiple test drives to allow the tuner to fine-tune the engine's performance. Make sure to take breaks between runs to allow the engine to cool down and avoid overheating.
  • Analyze the test drive data results and compare them to the baseline data. Make any final adjustments as necessary to optimize the engine's performance.
  • Follow the tuner's recommendations for maintaining the engine's performance and make any necessary adjustments as needed.

DYNO PREPARATION LIST

Is my vehicle ready for a dyno run tune?

  • If the vehicle is on a Dyno, Ensure that the dyno is calibrated correctly and in good working order.
  • Install a wideband oxygen sensor and data logging equipment, if necessary. This will allow our team to monitor and adjust the air/fuel ratio of the engine.
  • Collect and analyze baseline data during a test drive, including horsepower and torque from a Dyno and air/fuel ratios. This will provide a reference point for comparison after completing the tuning process.
