Step 2 — Select the Right Tuning Stage
We organize our tuning services into three clear stages, based on your vehicle’s modifications.
Stage 1 — Stock Vehicles
For vehicles with:
- No mechanical modifications
- Factory intake, exhaust, and engine components
This stage focuses on optimizing the factory calibration to improve:
- Throttle response
- Fueling and ignition strategies
- Overall drivability and power delivery
Additional Features Included
As part of our tuning process, we also evaluate and apply additional available features depending on the platform.
These may include:
- Speed limiter removal
- Cooling fan temperature adjustments (on/off control)
- Electric water pump control (where applicable)
- Cylinder deactivation control:
- GM (DOD / AFM)
- Mopar (MDS systems)
- Intake manifold control:

Step 3 — Make Your Purchase
Once you’re ready, you can place your order directly through the website.
If you’ve already contacted us via email and we’ve reviewed your setup, we may provide a custom quote tailored specifically to your vehicle and modifications.
Important Note on Tuning Services
Remote tuning is a custom, time-based service, and preparation begins as soon as an order is placed.
For this reason:
- All tuning service purchases are final
- We do not offer refunds once work has begun
This allows us to dedicate the proper time, attention, and resources to every calibration we deliver.
Step 4 — Receive Your Onboarding Email
Within 24 hours of purchase (during business hours), you will receive a detailed onboarding email.

Step 5 — Understanding the HP Tuners Ecosystem
To perform remote tuning, your vehicle must interface with the ECU using a compatible device.

It allows us to:
- Read your vehicle’s ECU
- Record detailed data logs
- Flash updated calibration files

HP Tuners MPVI-4 Device
The MPVI-4 is the latest interface used to connect your laptop to your vehicle.
It is used for:
- Reading the stock tune
- Logging vehicle data
- Flashing updated calibration files
Credits & Licensing
HP Tuners uses a credit-based system:
- Each vehicle requires a set number of credits to unlock the ECU
- Once licensed, the vehicle can be tuned and reflashed freely
- Credits are tied to your device

Step 6 — Send Your Base File & Vehicle Details
After completing the onboarding steps, you’ll send us:
- Your stock ECU file
- Full vehicle details (year, make, model)
- Modification list
- Fuel type
This allows us to begin building your custom calibration.
Step 7 — Data Logging & Revision Process
Once your first calibration is ready:
- You flash the file to the vehicle
- Perform guided data logs
- Send the logs back to us
We then:
- Review the data
- Refine the calibration
- Send updated revisions
Turnaround Expectations
- Responses typically within 24 business hours
- Most vehicles completed within 2–3 revisions
- Complex builds may require additional refinement
This continues until the vehicle is:
- Running smoothly
- Delivering consistent power
- Fully optimized for your setup
